The Betfair In Play grid can be accessed from the Main menu -> View -> In Play grid link or by clicking the icon on the tool strip.
When races are in-play or in-running on Betfair it is necessary to have a complete picture of each selections position and price compared to its competitors. The In Play grid gives a very clear visual representation of the Betfair prices of a market.
The Betfair In Play grid enables quick betting decisions to be made while viewing the relative performance of all competitors simultaneously, this is very well suited to in play events where the odds change rapidly. The bars are scaled to the best back price giving a fast picture of the respective competitors' chances of winning.

Using the In Play Grid
The in play grid is designed to allow quick and simple bets to be place. The blue back and pink Lay boxes show the best back and lay prices currently available for that selection. Clicking on the back or lay box will place a betting order for the price displayed at a stake value of the stake displayed on the form.
Also, clicking the left ( blue ) side of the bar will place a back bet and the right ( grey ) side will place a lay bet if the settings have been configured appropriately.

Bar Scaling
The bars use the best back price to scale against. This gives a clear picture of each selections probability of winning compared with the entire market. The actual bar scaling can be configured within the in play settings to display the entire Betfair price range (1.01 to 1000) linearly, or give more emphasis to the lower prices which is particularly useful when betting at the finish line.
Bar colour configurations
There are four different bar colour configurations that enable specific Betfair market perform indications. These are configurable in the In Play Grid settings.

No highlighting as its name suggest displays all the bars in the same colour.
Leader highlight will just highlight which competitor currently has the shortest odds.

Leader and chasers highlights the leader and shows if the chasers are gaining or fading with the leader.
Blue bar = leader
Red bar = slipping further away from the leader
Green bar = gaining on the leader
Gold bar = remains the same distance from the leader.
Red amber green highlights how each selection changes with respect to itself.
Red bar = Odds are lengthening for that selection.
Green bar = Odds are shortening for that selection.
Blue bar = Odds remain unchanged for that selection.
